Walkers: 5; Poetry: 1)\u00a0 According to my limited Arithmetic skills, and not counting the novellas, that totals out as 59.\u00a0 But then there are the three shared books, ones which include more than one character.\u00a0 Those end up being counted on more than one list.\u00a0 If we subtract those from the total, that means DTTD is actually J.A. Jance book number 56.\u00a0 That\u2019s a lot of books!\u00a0 Whoopie!<\/p>\n
From the beginning, whenever I\u2019ve signed books, my customary practice has been to indicate where that book falls in that particular series.\u00a0 It might be easier to switch over to using the TOTAL number, but since it\u2019s not easy to teach an old dog new tricks, I probably won\u2019t do that. At this point I\u2019m pretty sure Duel to the Death will be signed \u201cAli # 13.”<\/p>\n
By the way, speaking of dogs.\u00a0 Earlier this week, someone sent a note suggesting that I say something cute about dogs on my facebook page.\u00a0 The problem is, I\u2019m having a hard time feeling dog cuteness right about now.\u00a0 What do you do about a recently arrived five year-old dog who has decided, all on her own, that she really doesn\u2019t much care for the idea of being housebroken?\u00a0 Especially with doggy door access right there in the room?\u00a0 For the time being, I\u2019m papering the bedroom floor with puppy pads every night before I go to bed and hoping for the best.<\/p>\n
Okay, that probably qualifies as TMI\u2014too much information\u2014so back to the new book issues at hand.\u00a0 This is the call out for bookmark SASEs.\u00a0 If you want a whole autographed book mark instead of one cut in half, the SASE has to be a regular #10, business sized envelope.\u00a0 Some people have sent me SASEs that are actually repurposed Christmas card envelopes.\u00a0 Those don\u2019t work for me because they aren\u2019t long enough.\u00a0 Please send the SASEs to me at:<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, someone wrote to me asking how old I was since he found information on the internet saying I was born in 1999.\u00a0 No, not even close.\u00a0 That eighteen year-old is probably the same Judy Jance sending out the phony link e-mail mentioned above.\u00a0 I am definitely a woman of a certain age.\u00a0 If you look at the schedule, you\u2019ll see that my husband and I, both in our seventies, will be working\u2014traveling and signing\u2014every day for the next month or so with no time off for good behavior.\u00a0 When you see us on the road, please refrain from telling us how tired we look.\u00a0 I know you\u2019ll think you\u2019re only expressing concern, but on this end of that remark, we\u2019ll feel like somebody has just told us we look like hell.<\/p>\n
