Calling all DTRs: Clawback in paperback on sale December 27

On the face of it, having a book come out two days after Christmas seems a little odd. However, there’s approximately a nine-month-long lag time between the publication of a hard back book and the publication of the mass market edition.  Guess what? Time’s up.

Clawback, the Ali Reynolds book published last March in hard back comes out in paperback on December 27. The publisher, Simon and Schuster includes novellas in the paperback editions.  That means that the first joint Joanna Brady/Ali Reynolds novella, No Honor Among Thieves, will have a paper-and-ink printing here. Also included will be a sneak preview of Man Overboard, the Ali book due out this coming March.

So yes, the book is coming out after Christmas, but so what? Go shopping with some of the gift cards in your Christmas stockings. Then, with all the holiday hustle and bustle over, curl up by a crackling fireplace with a cup of cocoa and a good book. What could be better than that?

And now, with copy-editing on Man Overboard done at last, it’s time for me to get ready for Christmas. The house is decorated—photos to follow—and now it’s time to wrap presents. Kids and grandkids are due this weekend for our annual pre-Christmas gathering. What needs to be done expands to fill the time available, since there’s not much of the latter, I’d best get busy.

  1. Christmas greetings to you and your family. I hope it is merry and bright for all of you. Am not sure if it will be white, but the first Christmas wasn’t either.

I agree with you that what needs to be done for the holiday expands to fit the time available. It helps to simplify and delegate.

As for 2017, nothing will surprise me after 2016 which is not over yet.
